How to Test One-Click for BigCommerce

To test Bolt One-Click for BigCommerce, follow the instructions for each of the following scenarios to confirm successful integration:

If any of these tests yields an unexpected result, please reach out to our support team or your Bolt representative to resolve any issues.

Pre-Requisites

  • You have access to a registered Bolt Merchant Account in both your production environment.
  • You must have access to a Bolt Shopper Account Dashboard.

How to Test One-Click Checkout

Checkout

  1. Navigate to your storefront’s sandbox environment.
  2. Place an item in the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Enter an email address that is associated with a Bolt Account. A modal should appear.
  5. Input the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the account’s email address.
  6. Select Place Order.
  7. Navigate to the Shopper Dashboard.
  8. Scroll to My Orders to confirm the order has been placed.

Add a New Card

  1. Navigate to your storefront.
  2. Place an item in the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Enter an email address that is associated with a Bolt Account. A modal appears.
  5. Input the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the account’s email address.
  6. Click Add a New Card.
  7. Input the credit card details.
    • Note: During production testing, do not use test credit card numbers, as they will not function.
  8. Click Place Order.
  9. Navigate to the Shopper Dashboard.
  10. Scroll to My Orders to confirm the order has been placed.

Refund Transaction

After you place the test transaction using a real credit card, refund the transaction. For step-by-step instructions, follow Big Commerce’s documentation on Performing a Refund.

Edit Ship To Address

  1. Navigate to your storefront.
  2. Place an item in the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Enter an email address that is associated with a Bolt Account. A modal should appear.
  5. Input the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the account’s email address.
  6. Navigate to the Ship To section.
  7. Select the Edit icon ✏️.
  8. Provide another shipping address.
  9. Navigate to the Shopper Dashboard.
  10. Scroll to My Orders to confirm the order has been placed.

Input Discount Code

If discount codes are enabled, perform the following test:

  1. Navigate to your storefront.
  2. Place an item in the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Enter an email address that is associated with a Bolt Account. A modal should appear.
  5. Input the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the account’s email address.
  6. Expand Apply Discount Code.
  7. Input a working discount code.
  8. Navigate to the Order Summary section.
  9. Validate the discount amount and type has been correctly applied.
